Descriptions
Percentage of children, age 2-20 years, who received an oral assessment or limited, periodic, comprehensive, or problem focused oral evaluation in the year prior to the measurement year who also received a comprehensive or periodic oral evaluation in the measurement year Numerator: The numerator is the subset of children in the denominator who also had a comprehensive or periodic oral evaluation in the measurement year Denominator: The denominator is the subset of the IPP (children ages 2-20 years who had a medical or dental visit in the year prior to the measurement) who received an oral assessment or limited, periodic, comprehensive, or problem focused oral evaluation in the year prior to the measurement year. Because clinical guidelines recommend a first dental visit by 12 months of age, children should be at least 1 year of age at the beginning of the year prior to the measurement year.
